One more out of order, the Noll Christmas get together.

We had to get some face time in with all of Trey's adopted aunts and uncles. The Noll get together was great. We went to Beth's house and all put where we wanted to eat dinner in a gator santa hat (appropriate hu?) and then pulled one out so we went to The Outback. Then we went back to Beth's for Chocolate fondue for dessert and to let Trey open his presents from them. He got animals and books and all kinds of cute stuff. Also in a previous post there was a picture of Trey with a handmade orange and blue santa hat on Brian made that for him. Talented isnt he? He's single ladies ummm hmmm. ok advertisement over we had fun and Trey got to be with more people he loves and who love him. He is a lucky boy! Thanks guys for loving my little man. OH and see that shirt I cut (keep up check the blog more often) is soo not ruined, this was after the infamous cutting!

Out of order, so sue me.

This was us decorating the house, Trey was a big help. I know it is out of order but I had to take the opportunity to post a few pics of my man, I rarely do.

This is Trey trying to make sure his deer had some food. Trey loved seeing his deer all holiday long and I dread when he has to go away. He woudl stand on the couch by the window and see his friend all the time. Same with the Tree. Every morning Trey would wake up and we would hear the door open and little feet run mach 5 down the hall and a "schwap" on the floor. You see he made it his personal job to turn the lights on the tree (we have a switch you just step on to turn the lights on the Christmas tree) then he'd run back down the hall and get in our bed. He will miss his deer friend.

The aftermath

The day after Christmas JD got sick (stomach virus) he quickly got well and we went and got new tires woohoo and let Trey play in the playground in the Oaks mall. Then the day after that I got sick and didnt get well sa fast as JD. BUT that morning before I got too sick we had some fun. JD went fishing and Meme and Papa and Jemper (Translation: Jenifer) came down and we played outside in the beautiful FL winter weather, yes we are wearing shorts. I now realize we look like a binch of hippies setting outside justa playin on our guitars maannnn. It was all Treys idea I had a rousing game of soccer with the new ball and net planned but the best laid plans of moms... Trey decided it was jam time. We sang and "played" everything in our repitior: twinkle twinkle little star, ABC's, Popcorn popping... you name it.

There was some physical activity too.

And general nuttiness, *sigh*

Yes that is Treys Spongebob square pants umbrella.

One more interruption...

I have to say how proud of Trey I am for not messing up any of my decorations once they were put out. He did not once mess with the ornaments on the tree, or the little snowman on the coffee table or the nativity scene (he did want to kiss baby Jesus a few times, how do you say no to that I ask?) nothing he left all my pretties just as I put them. He really was a good boy through all the parties and weird schedules and odd trees in the house and everything, I am proud and when he reads this one day want him to know that.

Trey I love you and am proud of the little man you are too quickly becoming.

Christmas Day.

Christmas Day was a blur of 2 1/2 year old fun. How can you not love Chirstmas with a 2 yr old? Truly? It is glorious to hear him sing the songs, his fav is tangle bells (translation: jingle bells) and snowman. He does them very well. We checked to make sure santa really had been here and it wasnt just a slick joke by checking to see if he ate the cookies we left and sure enough he had. He ate all but a crumb which Trey promptly helped him with. Then we had to check to make sure the deerrein (remember? keep up now) had not missed their snack and they did not. It was gone too. We opened presents (learning a lesson to pass out gifts to everyone before opening any and letting the kids go first before any adults) then we had breakfast of monkey bread (made with fresh monkeys), fresh fruit, baby hotdogs (little smokies) in brown sugar and breakfast casserole. We had juice, milk and hot chocolate. Now all that left is to post the pics.

Coming down the hall for the first view. Trey is new at this and he is not relaly good at getting waking up. It takes a little bit before he really wakes up fully.

Above: JD spent the last few days working diligently in the shop to make Trey a toy bok. It is very big and looks just as I was hoping it would. I absolutely love it and love it even more because JD made it, with love for his son. It is very special to me and will be to Trey in the future. Trey calls it his Treasure box. Very fitting.

Below: Santa bought Trey a soccer net and ball, a beanbag chair (which so far to his incredible imagination has been an armidallo's shell, a moon rock, a hat, a tackle dummy, a dragon, and well more but you get the idea) and a blow up catch net with balls to throw in it.

There were the things Santa left in the stocking (which are usually the biggest hit right?)

Trey got serious about this whole gift opening thing and clothes had to go.

Of course things had to be modeled / tried out, ya know quality control!

If you have not seen a child cup stack you must truly amazing! Look it up on utube blows the mind! Selena rocks at it and I do not!

She needs her rest afterward!

Thank you to everyone who made Christmas wonderful for us all.

I gotta give a shoutout to all my dogs!

These posts are interrupted for a total stud mufffin alert!!!

Yep I get to kiss em both. Be jealous.

Christmas Eve

Christmas eve was nice but really low key. We spent it with just our small little family. JD Trey and I went to White Springs and saw the lights at Stephen Foster Memorial. They were really pretty and very elegant, just how I like my Christmas lights. Trey of course fell asleep on the way over and it was not quite dark yet so we kinda meandered around and drove up to a little park (that term is used loosely as it was a boat ramp with some tables and things)but JD saw a little swing and pulled over and we sat on the swing and courted with Trey in the car asleep (dont worry it was steps away lol see it in the background so no calling HRS lol) I got this shot of us courting. As I was looking at the scenery around ues I noticed we were setting under some mistletoe. JD didnt see it or really believe me so I took this picture to prove it. It is a little hard to see that it is mistletoe but you can notice a clump of something that looks a little different than the other leaves and well you just have to trust me that I know my mistletoe!

We then went to see the lights at the memorial. Trey slept through it all and when we tried to wake him up to experience the beauty that we were able to behold he expressed his distaste for that idea, loudly. angrily. So we had mercy on us er, um I mean on him and let him sleep. So we could see the following in peace and everyone else in the park could too.

Then we drove back to Lake City and went to see the lights at Olustee Park. That was more Trey's speed because he could get out and run around with the lights. There was a nativity scene with a little baby Jesus that Trey wanted to kiss

He ran and jumped and had a really good time at Olustee Park as you can see.

After we had touched all the lights We got some pizza and headed home. We watched, "Kung Fu Panda" (which we learned not to let a karate crazed 2 1/2 yr old watch on the one night of the year you are truly trying to get him to bed at a normal hour). So we also watched, "Ice Age". We sat out some cookies and milk for santa and left some deerrein (translation: reindeer) food out on the back patio for the reindeer. We finally all got to sleep to await the big day. It was a great night.
