...like a hole in the head.

Well Sophie got a hole in her head. Actually 2 of them. That's right we got Sophie's ear's pierced today for her birthday! She was a trooper. Not sure who took it better me or her. We picked the little peridot flowers. Actually those were JD's pick and they are perfect. They suit her perfectly. They look so feminine on her, they are adorable. She hardly cried at all. The only reason she cried for even the 30 seconds she cried for was we got them to use the piercing earrings and sometimes the little plastic on the "gun" doesn't eject right away so the little plastic thing stayed on the ear ring a second and she had to take it off by hand which means I had to hold her down and restrain her longer and that was what she really hated not the hole in her ear but the part about being held against her will. I am totally glad we did it though. They are georgeous and it's done now. After we got home JD was watching her play on the floor and he said that it was weird seeing that little shimmer in her ear.

BEFORE:

DURING:

She is not thrilled about being held down and a little unsure of what was going on.

fire!
I was trying to make sure I held her very tight and firm and kept my arm out of the lady's way so she could have all the room she needed while steeling myself for the countdown. My job is never easy. lol

you can see the little yellow plastic holder in this picture and the terror on my face. lol

AFTER:

You can see the little tear trail here and the cute little flower.

A little sparkle in the ear.

Afterward we went to the movies to see Kung Fu Panda 2. Then to Mecca better known as florida field where the Gators play and hopefully win. It was blazing hot. It stayed at 104* all day. Then back to the mall for dinner.

We had Sophie in the Stadium when she was a week old to help with her jaundice. So we of course had a picture taken then. Since it is so close to her birthday we had to have another today. So you can see the difference a year makes. It is hard to believe that skinny little frail looking thing is my big, happy, bouncy, little girl that is so full of personality and life and loves to dance.
