Trey and I are better but...

JD is not. Trey has pretty much gotten over his Virus. HE is starting to eat a little better and getting a little more pep. I am better I was find the next day (very tired but fine). JD is not so good. He had his colonsocopy Thursday and the Dr said he has colitis. There are a few different types of colitis caused by a few different things. They are doing a biopsy and we have an appt on the 28th to see exactly what kind he has and what it is caused by and how to fix it. Until then ? I dont know. He did ok Friday and Saturday most of the day he was ok. We went to pioneer day and he had some boiled peanuts and homemade icecream. After that he said his stomach felt a little upset but it turned out ok. This morning he woke up and was in a lot of pain and having EXTREME diareah. He has basically not gotten out of bed all day. All he has had to eat or drink has been some sprite. All day. It is 5:30 now at night. He is now feeling a little nauseated but says there is nothing in there. I will be calling Mr Dr man tomorrow morning and asking what the heck we are supposed to do until the 28th. I am soo not used to seeing JD stay in the house all day much in bed all day. He hates not getting out and working and doing things. He just took a phenegran so he will be out for the rest of the night. I am not used to him being sick and I do not like it one bit. I hate worrying and I am worrying.

They didn't give him any meds? They should have given him something. In the mean time try having him eat soft foods like rice, oatmeal, bread (plain), crackers, broth like soups. Keep pumping him full of fluids, sprite, gingerale, water, gatorade, but no milk, dark sodas or acidic juices. The goal of all that being not to make his stomach or intestines have to work too hard to digest what ever he does eat. Hope this helps, make sure to call the Dr. in the morning.

Don't worry! Colitis (whatever kind) can be controlled (by diet). He'll be ok! I know it's horrible waiting (believe me!), but Ka-Ka is right! Bananas Rice Applesauce Toast (dry). That's the BRAT diet. Will help! BUT.....Fluids, fluids, fluids....for sure!!! XOXOXOOX

Hi. You dont know me I saw your post on Babycenter about what the work dynamics are in your house. I wanted to say thank you for your comments. I didnt want to say anything there. But sometimes I feel so bad and guilty for having to work. I tried to email you throuh BBC but it wouldnt let me. I read your profile. We have a lot in common. I am 29, i have one DS that could be our first and last but not because DH doesnt want more, but because we have to go to a specialist and it took us 4+ years to have DS. I love to cook and have big parties and I cant help myself when it comes to cool dishes also! ha ha you can see my blog if you like. Anyway just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.
