School Time! Selena this post is for you!

Alert: Brag Post! Tomorrow is the first day of school here and Selena will be in the 5th grade. Can you believe it? She is so beautiful and I could not be more proud of her if she were my own (which I have to remind myself she isn't sometime) She is on the School Safety Patrol this year. She has been moved up to a higher level in her competitive gymnstitcs team. This will gave her the opportunity to compete in the State gymnastics competition this year which will be held in Disney World. She just got her FCAT scores back and scored above the state average in absolutely every category except one and she was on average with that one. Most she was very high over the state average. She is such a wonderful blessing to this whole family and to everyone she comes in contact with. Trey loves her greatly. She is kind and loving and smart and beautiful and talented. I am so excited for all the opportunities Selena will have in her life that she earns and makes the most of. I would be proud to take her anywhere in the world with me.

To Selena, Do not let the kids that win everything at school or get put first because of who their families are or who they know get you down. You will have the advantage over them in life. When school is over and it is time to join the "real world" (I mean getting jobs and going to college etc) you will know how to go after what you want and know how to earn it. They will be at a loss because they will have been handed everything. When their mommy and daddy can no longer hand it to them they will not know how to go after it. You will have the advantage. You are a beautiful Young Woman with a beautiful spirit and I cant wait to see the wonderful things your life will hold for you. You have an amazing talent of being able to see the rainbow no matter how dark the storm clouds. I love you and am blessed to have you in my life. I know that Trey will be blessed to have you be an influence in his life as he grows too. Have a great year you rock gerl!

I completely agree with Kate, Selena is an AMAZING young women!!! I am in AWW when ever she is around me, she is so selfless and kind to everyone around her. If we have any girls I hope they turn out just as wonderful as she is. Selena if you are reading these comments listen to Kate and your mom and Mimi, they are some of the most kind, giving, selfless, thoughful, and brillant women I know. The things you are doing right now, like working hard in school and in gymnastics, really will have a huge impact on how you achieve your goals as you get older. Good luck in school and gymnastics this year, I know you can do it!!!!! See you all soon for Gator season, YIPPEE!!!!!!!
